Density of friction material

The density of the friction material, that is, the mass per unit volume (g/Cm³). For friction materials, the density can basically indicate whether the ratio between the constituent materials is reasonable. The density of friction materials is generally 1.6~2.3, of which: the density of asbestos friction materials is 1.8~2.1, and the density of steel fiber friction materials is 2.4~ 2.8.

FBL

Clutch plates with excessive density are not conducive to the improvement of rotational strength. Density is generally determined by hydrostatic weighing.

Three cuboid samples with a height of 15mm, a width of 10mm and the last 10mm were cut from the finished friction material, and then immersed in liquid (distilled water) by the dipping method, and weighed in water. Density accuracy.
